You can use your Velocity Points to request an upgrade from a Flexi fare seat to a Premium seat (Business and Premium Economy), on domestic and international short haul flights with Virgin Australia and Virgin Samoa. Codeshare flights operated by other airlines are not eligible for upgrades.
International short haul refers to all Virgin Australia operated flights departing to or arriving from countries within South East Asia and the Pacific or crossing the Tasman.
Flight upgrade Points pricing is based on each individual sector shown on an itinerary. If a flight upgrade is requested on two or more individual sectors shown on an itinerary, the Points required will be calculated and quoted separately for each flight sector.
Refer to the table below for the number of Points required to upgrade.
The amount of Points required for a flight upgrade will be confirmed at time of request.
