Special - Sale Fare
--The Basics: This is our discount fare. It gives you the best possible price, but it is not as flexible as our more expensive fares. There are restrictions on your ability to change or cancel the fare. This fare is non refundable and you cannot cancel this fare and obtain a credit for use at a later date.
--Baggage: This fare includes carry-on baggage only. If you wish to take checked baggage on your flight, you may pre purchase the checked baggage allowance of up to 23kgs before you arrive at the airport, either online at www.virginblue.com.au/managebookings, via our mobile website at mobile.virginblue.com.au, via our mobile phone downloadable application or by calling the Guest Contact Centre (GCC). By pre purchasing the checked baggage allowance, you will incur a significantly smaller fee than what you will pay if you are required to purchase baggage allowance at the airport. The applicable baggage fees are available at www.virginblue.com.au/baggage. Baggage fees are non refundable and non-transferable.
--Changes: You can change the date and time of your flight if you make the request at least 24 hours prior to your flights’ scheduled departure time. Any other changes (such as name changes or changes to routing) are not permitted, and will be treated as a cancellation. If you used our website, mobile website or mobile phone application to make your original booking, you can make changes on-line or via the mobile phone application. If you did not use our website, mobile website or mobile phone application to make your original booking, you must contact the Guest Contact Centre (GCC) to make changes to your booking.
- Changes made via the website, mobile website or mobile phone application: A fee will apply if you change your fare on-line or via our mobile phone application. The applicable change fee will be the fee published on our website on the date you request the change. A higher fee will apply if your fare is for an international flight.
- Changes made through the GCC: Changes made via the GCC will incur a higher fee than changes made on-line or via our mobile phone application. The applicable change fee will be the fee published on our website on the date you request the change. A higher fee will apply if your fare relates to an international flight. Change fees will be charged in the currency applicable to your fare. Our current change fees are listed here.
--Fare Difference: Your new fare will be at least the price of the original fare and may be more. You must pay this fare difference and the applicable change fee when you change your booking. Internet fares are cheaper than GCC fares.
--Cancellations: Payments made for this fare and any fees made for checked baggage allowance is non refundable and cancellations are not permitted.
- No show/Late Change: If you do not fly or do not change your flight at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure time, you will forfeit any fare paid, any fees paid for checked baggage and/or your Velocity Points (as applicable)
--Other important fare rules: This fare is non-refundable, non-transferable and name changes are not permitted. This fare is only applicable from origin to destination. En route stopovers are not permitted.
--Currency: For international travel, the currency in which you made your original booking will apply to any changes or cancellations you make. Please refer to the Fees and Charges tab in the Booking section of our website or your itinerary for applicable charges in that currency.
