Status Credits determine your level of membership in our frequent flyer program. The higher your membership level, the greater the benefits you receive.
Status Credit earn table
The table below is a guide to the number of Status Credits earned for each one-way flight you take with Virgin Australia and our airline partners. Status Credits are valid for a period of 12 months from the date flown.
The number of Status Credits you earn is dependent on the type of fare, distance travelled and airline you have booked. To find out more about your fare class for each airline, please click here. You can calculate the mileage of your flight by using the Mileage Calculator below.

Terms and Conditions *Status Credits may not be earned on all fare classes. You can only earn Status Credits on eligible flights marketed and operated by Virgin Australia and/or a Velocity Airline Partner. To find out which fare classes earn Status Credits, please click here. You cannot earn Status Credits on any other fare classes, unless advised otherwise. Status Credits accrual is based on single flight segments that consist of individual flight numbers. An itinerary that involves a change in aircraft but retains the same flight number is considered a single flight segment, whereas an itinerary that consists of a change in flight numbers, even if the same aircraft is used for the entire itinerary, will be considered two flight segments. Members travelling on Upgraded fares purchased with Points or any other subsidised means of Upgrades on Virgin Australia or our partner airlines will earn Status Credits based on originally purchased fare classes.

Discount Economy Fare classes U, M, S, T, Q, V, N, E are ineligible for Status Credit earn when travelling on domestic connections within New Zealand on Virgin Australia codeshare services operated by Air New Zealand. Fare classes T, V, Q are ineligible for Status Credits earn when travelling on Virgin Australia international long haul services operated by Singapore Airlines.
**Please refer to the relevant fare class to determine the Status Credits earn as this eligibility will vary dependant on whether the flight is Trans-Tasman, Long Haul or Domestic travel with Air New Zealand. Please also note that Status Credits cannot be earned on Pacific Island flights with Air New Zealand.
