History

It’s only a brief history because we’re still young! But we’re growing fast. Velocity Rewards started in 2005 as the loyalty program partnered by Virgin Blue and sister airlines Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue. Since then, we’ve brought a range of Program Partners on board, including international airlines, to make earning Points even faster and giving Members a bigger choice of ways to redeem their Points.

Velocity was voted ‘Best Reward Redemption’ (Asia Pacific region) by the Australian Federation of Travel Agents in 2006 and again in 2007. We’re really proud of these awards, because it shows us we’re fulfilling our aim of giving you a program of real value.
