How do I reach Gold Status?
Whenever you reach 50,000 Status Credits within a 12-month Qualification Period , your Membership benefits will reach new heights with Gold Status. A new Gold Membership Card will be sent to you within 14 days .
How do I earn Status Credits?
You can start earning Status Credits as soon as you join Velocity.
When you join online, you’re given a unique Velocity Membership Number. This is key to earning your Status Credits. Just be sure to provide your Membership Number whenever you book flights with Virgin Blue, V Australia*, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue.
Your Gold Membership Card.
When you rise to Gold Status, we’ll send you a new Gold Membership Card. Keep it handy and show it whenever you’re checking in. Your Card has information about your Status to help you keep track of important dates.

How do I check my Status Credit balance?
Just login and your Account will show your current Velocity Points balance and Status Credits balance.
How do I keep my Gold Status?
It’s easy to stay Gold when you’re earning seven Status Credits for every dollar you spend on fares. You need to earn 50,000 Status Credits within your 12-month Qualification Period to keep your Status. Your Status Review Date is at the end of the 12-month Qualification Period. If you haven’t earned enough Status Credits to stay Gold by this time, you go back to Silver or Red, depending on how many Status Credits you earned.
Your Status Credit balance is reset to zero for the start of every Qualification Period. So keep flying regularly with Virgin Blue, V Australia*, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue and stay Gold!
*V Australia flights are expected to commence December 2008, subject to regulatory approval.
