| Benefits Expiry Date |
This is when your Status Benefits come to an end if you haven’t earned enough Status Credits to maintain or upgrade your Gold or Silver Status during the Qualification Period. Of course, if you’ve maintained your Status Level, you’ll keep enjoying your Status Benefits for another year. |
| Grace Period |
This is the two months between your Review Date and when your Status Benefits expire. If your Status Level isn’t upgrading or staying the same, we give you two months’ grace to enjoy your Silver or Gold Benefits before they end. |
| Membership Number |
When you join Velocity, we issue you with a unique Membership Number. It’s shown on your Membership Card. To make sure you earn Velocity Points and Status Credits, always give your Membership Number when you book a flight.
|
| Status Credits |
As well as earning Velocity Points, you also earn Status Credits when you fly with selected Program Partners including Virgin Blue, V Australia*, Polynesian Blue or Pacific Blue. Status Credits add up to help you qualify for Silver or Gold Membership. |
| Status Level |
There are three levels of Velocity Membership Status you can reach, depending on how many Status Credits you earn in each 12-month Qualification Period. Status Levels start at Red, and rise to Silver or Gold. |
| Qualification Period |
This 12-month period is initially based on the month you joined Velocity. If you earn 20,000 Status Credits within six months of joining, you’ll immediately rise to Silver Status and can start enjoying Silver benefits from then until your next Review Date – this is known as your Immediate Benefits Period. At your next Review Date you will have earned enough Status Credits in the previous Qualification Period to obtain Silver, so you’ll continue to enjoy these benefits until your next Review Date, when your Status Level will be reviewed again. At the end of each 12-month Qualification Period, on your Review Date, we assess your current Status based on the Status Credits you’ve earned during that Period. If you haven’t earned enough Status Credits to maintain your Status, you'll be allocated the Status Level appropriate to the amount of Status Credits you earned in that Qualification Period. Your Status Credit balance is reset to zero at the start of every Qualification Period. |
| Review Date | This is the date your Status Level comes up for review. Depending on the amount of Status Credits you’ve earned in the previous 12-month Qualification Period, you could maintain your current Status, rise to Silver or Gold, or move down a Status Level. |
